Find your local professional, handyman or contractor
To find a flooring contractor for your remodeling job is not that difficult as you may think. To find a qualified and reliable one for sure more.
The easiest way is asking your friends and neighbors who did the same remodeling already. Doesn't matter if they were satisfied with their contractor or not. Both informations are helpful to you. Either you get what was going wrong and have hints on what to care specially, or found your first contractor to ask for a quote. We don't recommend you just asking one. You have no comparison of the quote and might be you won't feel well with him. Feeling well with your chosen contractor is a very important part of the whole remodeling process. It's the base of trust.
Beside an interesting price, the quote should also contain a list of his supply and work included, as well as a few references. Pick two or three and contact them to get an actual picture of the contractors working and quality habit. If you pick them well, you get at the same time also long term work and material quality informations.
A good contractor is not only able to execute the job, but also gives you tips and recommendations about your planed job. Let him bring in his ideas, it's for sure an enrichment of your plans. You then make the final decision.
